History and philosophy
Testuan is a group of friends from very different professional fields but sharing the same passion and values for the vine and wine. In 2010, we started our path in the wine world to produce a white wine in the privileged DO Alella located in the Maresme Coast Range at 15 km up North from Barcelona, tempered by the Mediterranean breeze.
With the philosophy of preserving the wine tradition of the DO Alella in the municipality of Cabrils, we aim at sensitizing young generations of nobility and the appreciation of working the land, and of the passion for wine. Produce wine with respect to traditional practices integrating current technologies and innovation as well as environmentally friendly work procedures in the vineyard is our main leitmotiv.
Since several years, we collaborate with a winery of the DO Montsant, located approximately at 2 hours in the south of Barcelona, where we produce our red wines in order to expand our range of wines, following the same philosophy and values.
Our main commitments
Territory: Produce a local wine (DO Alella) and representative from its terroir and territory (DO Montsant) applying sustainable methods in the vineyard and taking care of the environment as the key of our development.
Grape production: Combine self-learning and consolidated knowledge, traditional practices and modern technology.
Team of people of very different synergies from Catalan and French roots. Lionel Martin, Quim Colomer, Kike Foncillas, Julien Schmitt, Andreu Sala, Pierlo Sinigaglia and Miquel Riera.
