A singular take on Alella’s Pansa Blanca. Barrel-fermented in French oak and aged on fine lees, this wine rested six years in bottle before release. A deep, food-friendly and honest white that reflects the passing of time and the Mediterranean character of its origin.
Appearance: Bright golden yellow with honeyed highlights.
Nose: Complex and elegant: ripe white fruit, candied citrus peel, fennel, toasted almond and brioche, with sweet spices and a delicate smoky touch.
Palate: Broad and silky, with still-lively acidity and a saline minerality. Long finish of dried fruit and nuts, aromatic herbs and wet stone.
Baked fish, seafood and shellfish, seafood rice dishes, poultry, and soft or semi-cured cheeses. Serve at 10–12 ºC.
